––– ABOUT –––

Eileen Cronin Barrington was born in Manchester, England, and raised in a large family by strict, old-fashioned parents. Her formal education was at a private convent school run by an order of the Loreto nuns. She emigrated to the US and came directly to Northern California with her husband and baby in her mid-twenties. A retired civil servant, after selling her home in San Jose, she moved and is happily settled in the Sacramento area. Her interests vary, and include gardening, painting with acrylics, singing, and music appreciation. She describes herself as a competent pianist and fair violinist; her talented and musical parents influenced her love and appreciation for classical music. She starts a typical day by tuning in to her favorite music station, Classical FM, which broadcasts live from the UK, where her two sisters are likely listening simultaneously. She is the proud mother of three sons and mother-in-law to two extraordinary women, who collectively have brought seven amazing grandchildren into her life. A retired worldwide traveler, she now prefers to spend most of her days living in the same time zone. Her companions are a tiny silver poodle and a crazy Siamese cat. Life is good.
